Work not Wishes

“We will receive not what we idly wish for but what we justly earn. Our rewards will always be in exact proportion to our service.” Earl Nightingale

As a dreamer in life I always wanted to be and do something special.  However, I continued to get in the way of my progress.  A short stop in the bar would find me drunk and looking for an after hours party in the morning.  I could not move my tail off the bar stool once I walked in to the pub.  In the mornings I could not focus due to the massive hangovers I would have.  If I could steer clear of the bar I would buy a 12 pack for home.  If I mustered up the ability to refrain from alcohol use on a day I would sleep the day or night away!

I was mentally and spiritually paralyzed.  However, when I began to join the human race, the land of the living I began to make progress toward my goals.  I began to realize that if I put in the foot work I would accomplish tasks that I needed to complete in order to attain the rewards I was seeking.  I began to realize that partying was not all it was cracked up to be, in fact it was the number one factor that was holding me back!  When I am sober I can do the work, when I am a drunk it is nothing but wishes!

Do the work!  Go, Go, Go…
