The life we lead before we get sober is not who we are, it is what we were. I have not met many people in this world that I thought was “bad” to the core. Certainly they are out there but honestly for the most part people are good. Addiction steals our inner being, it robs us of our morals, dignity and life. It 
eventually permeates every aspect of out lives. But when we recover our light begins to shine. We begin to live our lives as productive and caring individuals, team members, family members, all with a purpose to live extraordinarily.

I recently read an article by John Maxwell about the difference between ordinary and extraordinary. It does not take that mush more of an effort. In fact if we live our lives clean and sober we will live “Purposeful” lives. We will find a new joy, a new happiness, and we will be set free form the “creature” of addiction!
