It’s not that bad simply isn’t good enough. I have heard my share of cop-outs over the years. The grandest of them all is, “It’s not that bad”. My question is always the same, “Is not bad, good enough for you”? It is quite simple life is much more than just getting by. Life is about living productive and thoroughly, living up to our potential as spiritual human beings! When we settle for mediocrity or less we settle for lives of quiet desperation.
Life is looking fear in the face and dismissing its grip upon us. At every turn we may face adversity or at least resistance. Nothing is completely easy when it comes to recovering from addiction, but recovery is worth it. Settling for anything less if you are an alcoholic, addict, problem drinker, (there is no such thing as a problem user – if you use illegal drugs you are the real deal- so stop the frigging nonsensical attempt at justification), or anything in between, illicit or mind altering substances play or will play a negative role in your life. Therefore, RECOVER! Life is way too good to live in mediocrity. More pointedly, “Not That Bad” is absolute bullshit. Recover and live the life of your dreams!
