There is magic in mutual support groups. Coming together to share our experience, strength and hope allows an individual to grow beyond their wildest dreams. Today it is amazing to see people come as they are and become who they ARE within. Early on they believe the lie that they are what they have done. They focus on the wrong they have done and consider that who they are. Wrong, wrong, wrong!!! That is not who you are that is what you have done!
Over the years I have noticed that many people beginning the recovery process think they are “bad people”, but the truth is, most people are good at heart. Most people want to be something they can be proud of. Most people want to win in life. The magic of mutual support is that over time people see that they truly are winners, they are good and they love and are loved!
