As alcoholics and addicts when we are actively using we have nothing more to look forward to then more of the same or worse. When we are in the recovery process we have the ability to live the width of our lives. We have options. We have the ability to begin life anew, to start a career at any age, to go back to school, or to begin to live our passion on the side. Life gets better and better every day in every way.
Surely we face challenges that we address. Sometimes we make mistakes that in the past would paralyze us but we keep moving forward. We have an advantage over the rest of the world, we have a program of living, a fellowship of mutual support and a sponsor relationship that helps us to overcome it all. Life just keeps getting better and we begin to live our lives both long and wide! How wide can you go?
