Of all the awards I have received in my life and there have been many, none compare to the reward of seeing my oldest son Sean on the field playing in the Ultimate Bowl for the UIFL Championship. I got to the arena an hour and a half early and had to wait for the gates to open. I sat in my seat just watching the warmups and prep work for the game. The only thing I could think of was how proud I am of my son.
Sean is an awesome man with a great sense of humor. I do not know anyone that does not like him when they meet him. He is personable, funny and likable. So I sat there just thinking about how awesome it is to be a part of his life. To get to share in his joy and his accomplishment. He is an original Florida Tarpon a team that in its inaugural season went 12 and 1. Southern Conference Champions in their first year!
The great reward? Besides the awesome experience of the game, the joy of having an awesome son, a signed UIFL game-ball from the Ultimate Bowl 2 with the signature of #52 Sean Callahan! Life is good!
