When we have an attitude of gratitude we can be assured we are on the right path. When our attitude shifts to me, me, me… Well then we need a bit of an attitude adjustment, and not the happy hour adjustment either! The awesomeness of recovery is that we are aware of our attitude, thoughts and life. We are no longer simply trudging through life we are living life!
The spot check inventory and the daily inventory assist us in keeping ourselves aware and hopefully in check. When I find myself slipping into bad attitude land I know that my spot check and daily inventory needs some additional focus. When I keep an eye on my actions, quickly amend the incongruence, my attitude will shift back to positive, vibrant and aware. The ingredients of an attitude of gratitude! Life is good…
