Victorious

“Never talk defeat. Use words like hope, belief, faith, victory.”  –  Norman Vincent Peale

I lived in defeat for many years.  I expected the worst, I thought “the worst is yet to come”.  I believed in the negative motto “shite happens”.  You would hear me say things like, “If it weren’t for bad luck I wouldn’t have any luck at all”!  Well you get the picture.

Then one day in 1998, clean and sober for ten years I received a couple of postcards in the mail from Nightingale-Conant selling a couple of audio lesson’s –order now and pay later with a guarantee that I could return them within thirty days.   I figured what the heck, what do I have to lose?  The sets arrived Earl Nightingale, “Lead the Field” and Tony Robbins, “Unleash the Power Within”.

I began to listen to these two audio sets and slowly began to develop habits that were positive in nature.  My attitude started to change for the better.  My mind began to open up to the possibilities.  I began to look for the good in people, places and things, rather than find the fault in it all.  Today I believe I am a better person.  I certainly catch myself more and more when my thoughts go negative.  I have learned to ask for help, seek God’s wisdom and focus on what I can do rather than what I can not!

Life is gooood!  Go, Go, Go…
