“One hour per day of study will put you at the top of your field within three years. Within five years you’ll be a national authority. In seven years, you can be one of the best people in the world at what you do.”
— Earl Nightingale

Earl Nightingale, The Strangest Secret

We minimize our capacity and ability to learn, grow and become all that we are gifted to become.  In the A B C’s of the recovered life, “B” is “Be a student of life”.  As I teach newcomers to the world of recovery these principles I am often greeted with a look of perplexity.  They often respond that they are not in high school and are not interested in going back.  But this is a short sighted view of life and the power of growth and development.

I can speak on this for hours however, I know this for sure.  We must be always improving in our lives.  We must be filled with passion for life.  We must live within our purpose, more specifically, within our God given talents.  Many people come to me and want more therapy, therapy does not get or keep you sober, recovery does, you do!  If it was therapy alcoholism and addiction would not be as prevalent as it is, probably more pointedly relapse would not be as prevalent.

If you want what we have, do what we do!  Mutual support, admit, atone, forgive, focus on others and live with passion!  Anything else is well, theory…

Life is goooood…

Go, Go, Go…

Dan 🙂
