Most fears cannot withstand the test of careful scrutiny and analysis. When we expose our fears to the light of thoughtful examination they usually just evaporate. Jack Canfield
Fear is a natural occurrence in our biological life. Fear is our friend it is our radar system that warns us of danger ahead! Yet for many of us fear can be paralyzing especially in early recovery. In the rooms we hear many great pearls such as the acronym for FEAR, False Evidence Appearing Real. The truth is when we take the time to use our intellect over our emotion we see that the truth will always set you free.
When we analyze the reality of the situation, bounce it off our sponsor and support group we realize that it is larger in our head then it is reality. Most of what we worry about does not come to pass. As we grow in our recovered lives we realize that life gets better and better and when things go wrong we simply put one foot in front of the other and whatever the challenge it always works out. Never fear fear! Life is goooood!
Go, Go, Go…
