“Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed.” – Storm Jameson
If I could sum up happiness in one sentence I would go with Storm’s definition. Happiness is not a byproduct of things, although when we are deprived we repel happiness. Happiness is not a byproduct of relationships, although when we are rejected happiness is difficult at best. Happiness is not a byproduct of money, yet when we are broke and do not know if we can pay our basic needs, like shelter or electricity the stress mounts! Happiness is not the byproduct of education, but when we are puppets true happiness alludes us.
No happiness is not a byproduct of stuff, our surroundings or what we do, it is a byproduct of healthy living, freedom to choose, and the independence of the recovered life, a Spiritual Life!
Go, Go, Go…
