Getting it Done

“Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It’s not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it’s when you’ve had everything to do, and you’ve done it.” — Margaret Thatcher

Over the years it has become a habit to reflect on my day.  Some days I sit and think wow, where did the time go today?  Others simply dragged on.  Some days had a positive spin and some just neutral.  Some days I made mistakes and some not.  Of course in my daily inventory if I made a mistake I have usually made amends or at least offered an apology on the spot or within hours.  If not I make it a point to do so immediately the following day.

Recovery to me is life but it is much more than just living day by day.  It is living joyously and happy.  So I guess you can say that recovery is joy, but long term recovery is a happy, joyous and free life.  Sure we all make mistakes but they are simply blips on the screen of life.  Staying productive and positive on a daily basis brings the reality of long term recovery, long term joy into being!

Be productive!  Go, Go, Go…
