The greater the tension, the greater is the potential. — Carl Jung
Our lives can be filled with tension at times. We have two choices, we can be stiff or rigid and we will snap or we can be flexible and bend or stretch like a rubber band. Earl Nightingale indicated that one feature of mentally healthy people is that they are flexible under stress.
In a wind storm it is best to be a blade of saw grass rather than a large oak tree. The grass will flex with the wind while the oak will snap. Now of course in matters of integrity we must stand strong, but in life we will be hit with stress and tension where resilience through flexibility is essential.
Life is good!
